What next for Omanyala?

Omanyala is one of the stars who has been invited for the Athletics Kenya (AK) trials on July 22.

AK will conduct the trials to determine who will represent the country at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo.

Omanyala has already acquired the required mark set by World Athletics and might as well be excused from the trials.

AK will pick the first three athletes in every category, provided they meet the qualification mark set by World Athletics. Omanyala is the only Kenyan in the men's 100m who has qualified so far.

The likes of Mark Odhiambo will be hoping to run 10.00 to be included in the plane to Tokyo.

Defending world champions like Faith Kipyegon and Mary Moraa have also been included in the list, but have wild cards already.
