According to LetsRun, Richardson shoved Coleman, the 2019 100m world champion and threw a pair of headphones at him.

A video allegedly showed Coleman trying to walk away during the altercation.

Richardson was booked at the South Correctional Entity in Des Moines, Washington, on Sunday, spent the night in jail, and was released on Monday.

CBS News reports that Coleman informed police that Richardson is his girlfriend and that he did not wish to press charges. She is yet to release a statement on the matter.

"Just outside the screening area, Richardson is following and getting close to Coleman several times as Coleman appears to be trying to walk away. Richardson then pushes Coleman hard enough that it sends him crashing into a nearby column," police officer Paul Chung wrote about the incident.
"Coleman continues to try to walk away in an effort to get away from Richardson but she continues to bump into him and get into his personal space. She again pushes Coleman, again hard enough that it sends him flying a few feet away."

Will Richardson and Coleman represent USA in Tokyo?

It has been an underwhelming season for Richardson, who was shocked by Julien Alfred in last year’s Olympics.

This year, she has competed in three races and failed to run under 11 seconds. Since she's the world champion, she gets an automatic spot at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, next month.

She will be joined by new American champion Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who just clocked 10.65 seconds to win the world title. Kayla White (personal best 10.84) and Aleia Hobbs (10.92) also qualified.

Coleman, on the other hand, finished fifth in the fifth and won't be in Tokyo.
