Arsenal dominated Real Madrid from start to finish, securing a convincing 3-0 win which puts them in a good position to qualify for the semi-finals. The second leg will be played on Wednesday, April 16, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Declan Rice scored two free-kicks with Mikel Merino adding a third in one of the best performances by Arsenal in Europe.
What did Chelsea post during Arsenal vs Real Madrid?
However, while this was happening, Chelsea's X admin posted a picture of their players training for their Conference League clash on Thursday.
The Blues will travel to Poland to play Legia Warsaw in the first leg of their own quarter-final.
The timing of the post, which came when Arsenal was claiming the scalp of Europe's best team, didn't go down well with fans.
Chelsea roasted for 'shameless' post
The post was first shared at 10.35pm, just when Arsenal's game at the Emirates was in the 35th minute. It, however, went viral afterwards after Rice's masterclass.
@Elvis Tunde asked,
"Have you no shame?"
CfC Aden said,
"Posting this with a Champions League game on feels so embarrassing."
Acetyl CoA said,
"Arsenal just trashed football royalty, Real Madrid and Chelsea are prepping for part-time plumbers in Poland. They finally found their level."
Kolade said,
"Admin, read the room, please. What is Warsaw?"
While Patty said.
"How the turntables. 4 years ago, we were winning against Madrid, and Arsenal were playing Slavia Praha."

Chelsea's path in the Conference League
Enzo Maresca's side are widely expected to make easy work of the rest of the teams and win the competition this season.
They are yet to lose in the third-fiddle competition this season, topping the league phase before seeing off Copenhagen in the Round of 16. If they beat Legia, they will play one of Djurgarden or SK Rapid in the semi-finals.
The West Londoners are angling to become the first side to win all three European trophies, having won the Champions League and the Europa League twice.
Premier League secures extra Champions League spot
TUKO.co.ke has also reported on how Arsenal's win over Real helped Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Premier League secured an extra spot in next season's Champions League after the Gunners saw off Madrid.
This means that fifth place will be enough to play in the Champions League next season, which will be welcome news to the Blues, who are currently involved in an intense battle for the top five.
