The bad news is that Barcelona failed to win at home in the first leg of the semi-final, meaning they will need to avoid defeat in the second leg next week.

Interestingly, the game was Yamal's 100th senior appearance for Barcelona. He has now registered 22 goals and 33 assists, per BBC Sport.

He is the youngest player to play 100 times for Barcelona. Players he surpassed include Gavi (19 years and 29 days), Bojan Krkic (19 years, 2 months, 24 days), Pedri (20 years, 2 months, 4 days), and Ansu Fati (20 years, 5 months, 15 days).

According to Opta, Yamal became the second teenager to score in the round of 16, quarter-final, and semi-final in a single Champions League season since Kylian Mbappe in the 2016/17 campaign.

The Spaniard is also the youngest-ever (17 years 291 days) scorer in the Champions League semi-final, a record previously held by Mbappe (18 years and 140 days).
