Will Ruben Amorim quit Man United?

Amorim is open to leaving Man United if the fans and board want him gone. The Portuguese arrived in November 2024 to replace Erik ten Hag, but things have not gone as planned.

He has been in charge for 41 games and registered 16 wins, eight draws, and 17 defeats. 14 of the losses have come in the Premier League. He has overseen just six wins in the league, four in 2025, per Transfermarkt.

He has come under pressure in the last few weeks due to poor performances in the league. His team last won a league game on March 16, suffering six losses since then.

Their 3-2 win over Ipswich on February 26 was their last home win in the league, and they will face an in-form Aston Villa on Sunday in their final game of the 2024/25 season.

Amorim was asked about his job after they lost to Tottenham in Bilbao.

"In this moment, I am not going to be here defending myself, is not my style," Amorim said via MEN. "I cannot do it, is really hard for me. So I have nothing to show to the fans to say I am going to improve because of this, I had these problems, I will not do nothing."
"If the board and fans feel that I’m not the right guy, I will go the next day without any conversation about compensation. But I will not quit again. I am really confident in my job and, as you can see, I will not change nothing in the way I do things."
