Man United have signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo so far, but are reportedly still active in the transfer market.
Ruben Amorim will be under intense scrutiny from fans as United kick off their season against Arsenal, a genuine title contender.
How has Ruben Amorim performed at Man United?
Ruben Amorim was appointed in November to replace Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed after a poor start to the season. The Portuguese arrived from Sporting CP.

He led Sporting to two league titles and was expected to improve Manchester United's performances, which had significantly regressed during the 2023/24 season.
However, Amorim's first few months were a nightmare. They suffered defeat after defeat in the Premier League but surprisingly did well in the Europa League.
At one point earlier in 2025, some fans were concerned about relegation, which would have been unprecedented for a club of that size.
The young coach has overseen 42 matches, winning 17, losing 17, and drawing 8.
Their most painful defeat came in the Europa League final, where they were defeated by Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao on May 21.
Amorim has been criticised for being stubborn and tactically rigid. His 3-4-2-1 system has not worked in the Premier League, but could it succeed next season?
Will Amorim be fired?
Man United have the toughest start to the 2025/26 season, according to Opta's supercomputer. They open the season against Arsenal and will play Chelsea and Manchester City in their first five games.
Former Man United assistant coach Rene Meulensteen thinks Amorim will be fired before Christmas if results don't improve.
"If Man Utd’s form continues - Amorim’s job will be on the line before Christmas," Meulensteen said via GOAL.
"The club hierarchy will have no choice but to discuss if he is the right man going forward after how badly last season went - that’s why a good start to the season is a must."

Meulensteeen was Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant between 2008 and 2013. He is not impressed with Amorim's system.
"Ruben Amorim not being adaptable is not clever - he needs to be flexible...Amorim is stuck in his system and they are massively vulnerable."
Man United will need a strong start to the season to save Amorim's job.
What Man United fans said about Amorim
@MartienBall:
"Alonso has a squad full of superstars and talks about needing time while United fans expect Amorim to work miracles with players like Onana, Hojlund, Lindelof, Shaw, Evans, Malacia and Mount 😂."
@FPL_Dynamics:
"After the first 10 Premier League games, I see us in 8th."
@iam_wilsons
"Everton, Wolves, AS Roma, Valencia etc all improved their League positions with a new manager mid-way through the season. The same cannot be said of Manchester United and Ruben Amorim. You can't try this nonsense with Real Madrid or even Bayern Munich."
@theburner17
I’ve basically watched the same league game under Amorim 26 times now and I get made to feel like I’m being unfair for speaking about it.
@MikeBlazie:
"I really don't understand why a coach needs 11 new players to beat Bournemouth, Brighton, Wolves, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Crystal Palace."
Did Man United fans turn on Amorim?
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Man United fans appeared to criticise Ruben Amorim, who claimed that they are going to suffer.
The Man United boss endured a poor first six months at the club and repeatedly referenced “suffering” in his press conferences.
Amorim will manage fewer games next season, and fans want results starting next season.
