Club World Cup: Supercomputer Predicts Winner Ahead of Quarter-Final

The FIFA Club World Cup has reached the quarter-final stage, and Opta's supercomputer has predicted the winner.

Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Al-Hilal, Chelsea, Palmeiras, Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Fluminense are the teams still in the FIFA Club World Cup competition.
The tournament has been exciting, but there are concerns about scheduling and the weather, which delayed Chelsea's match against Benfica in the round of 16.
Who are in and out of Club World Cup?
Despite the challenges, the tournament has delivered drama and entertainment so far. The biggest story has been Al-Hilal eliminating favourites Manchester City in an epic match.

They will face the Brazilian side Fluminense in the quarter-final. Meanwhile, Chelsea advanced to the last eight after beating Benfica in a bizarre match.
The game was suspended for nearly two hours due to a severe weather warning. The match raised concerns about next year's World Cup matches.
"For me it’s not football. It’s already seven, eight, nine games that they suspended. I think it’s a joke to be honest, it’s not football. It’s not for us. You cannot be inside. I struggle to understand," Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca told the press.
PSG thrashed Lionel Messi's Inter Miami 4-0 to reach the quarter-finals. They scored four goals in the first half and eased off in the second. They face Bayern Munich, who knocked Flamengo out.
"It is difficult to play against players of this calibre. It was a tough match, but I think we did an excellent job as a team,” Luis Enrique told reporters post-match
Real Madrid beat Italian giants Juventus to set up a clash against Borussia Dortmund, who defeated Monterrey.
Five of the eight remaining teams are from Europe, two from Brazil and one from Saudi Arabia.

Supercomputer predicts Club World Cup winner
Opta's supercomputer has backed Chelsea to win the title with a 26.79% chance. The Blues are the only European club on their side of the bracket.
If they beat Palmeiras, they will play either Al-Hilal or Fluminense in the semi-final.
Meanwhile, PSG are the second favourites with a 24.90% chance of winning the tournament. The Champions League winners will face Bayern, who have been impressive at the tournament.
Real Madrid are the third favourites with a 16.94% chance, followed by Bayern, who have 14.83%. Dortmund have a 7.64% chance.
When and where are the quarter-final games?
As the nominal home side, Fluminense will be the first team to start off the last 8 action when they welcome Al Hilal to the Camping World Stadium in Florida on July 4, 10pm Kenyan time.
Thereafter, on Saturday morning, 4am Kenyan time, Chelsea will play Palmeiras at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The biggest match of the round will be on Saturday at 7 pm Kenyan time when PSG lock horns with Bayern Munich at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
The last match-up will kick off at 11 pm Kenyan time when Real Madrid play Borussia Dortmund at the 82,500-seater MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The MetLife Stadium, which is home to the New York Giants and New York Jets of the National Football League, will also host both the 2025 Club World Cup and the 2026 World Cup finals.
Ibrahimovic roasts Messi's teammates
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic roasted Lionel Messi's teammates after Inter Miami were eliminated from the Club World Cup.
The MLS club were thrashed 4-0 in the round of 16 by PSG, and it could've been worse as PSG took the foot off the gas in the second half.
Messi and Inter won once in the group stage and were seeking to upset PSG, one of the favourites.
