Chelsea defeated Fluminense in the semi-final to secure a spot in the FIFA Club World Cup final, where they will face either Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.
The Blues have had a favourable route to the final and are now one step away from winning another trophy.
How did Chelsea reach the Club World Cup final?
The Blues were one of the biggest teams in the tournament, but were not the leading favourites to win it.
They kicked off Group D with a comfortable win over MLS side LAFC. They scored twice with Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez getting the goals.
A heavy defeat to Flamengo followed, but it was overshadowed by Nicolas Jackson's red card.
Nonetheless, Chelsea secured their place in the knockout phase with a 3-0 victory over African side Esperance.
In the round of 16, they beat Benfica 4-1, but the match was bizarre because they had to take a two-hour break due to a weather warning.
Brazilian side Palmeiras were next in line in the quarter-final, and Enzo Maresca's team triumphed 2-1 to reach the semi-finals, where they faced another Brazilian side, Fluminense.
A brace from new signing Joao Pedro saw the Blues comfortably win 2-0.
What did Maresca say about Chelsea's progress to final?
The Italian tactician was criticised after Chelsea lost to Flamengo in the group stage, but he is on the verge of leading the Premier League club to a second trophy in the 2024/25 season.
"We are very happy and very proud to play the final. The reason why is that this is the Club World Cup, the best clubs in the world are here. So for us to be there [in the final] on Sunday is something we have to be proud and happy about," he said.
The competition was criticised before it started, but Chelsea have utilised their squad effectively, having used 27 players so far. Can they lift the trophy on Sunday?

With two wins in the group stage and three in the knockout stage, the Blues have earned around £80 million (KSh 14 billion) so far, per the London Evening Standard.
Why did Cole Palmer fume at Nicolas Jackson?
In a related story, TUKO.co.ke reported that Cole Palmer was furious with Nicolas Jackson during Chelsea's clash with Fluminense.
The England star was angry that the Senegal international refused to pass the ball to him despite being open.
