PSG were stunned by Chelsea in the July 13 final at the MetLife Stadium after a brace and assist from Cole Palmer secured a 3-0 win for the English side.
How PSG performed in Club World Cup final
The Parisians were the overwhelming favourites going into the game after building their reputation as the team to beat this year.

They had just whitewashed record European champions Real Madrid in the semi-finals, and the odds were on them to conjure another decent result against Enzo Maresca's team.
Luis Enrique's side, however, appeared to be a level below their usual best as they struggled to break down a resilient Blue wall.
Their best chance came at 0-0 when a Desire Doue cutback was magnificently intercepted by Marc Cucurella with Achraf Hakimi waiting to tap into an empty net.
Afterwards, it was one-way traffic for the remainder of the first half, with Chelsea exploiting their right-hand space where Nuno Mendes was slow to track down Malo Gusto and Palmer.
Following the humbling defeat, the French giants are reportedly planning a clear-out as they aim to remain competitive next year.
The damaging Club World Cup loss doesn't take away the incredible season they had, where they won their maiden Champions League title.
Which players will PSG sell?
Le Parisien reports that among those who have no future at the club are returning loanees, Milan Skriniar (Fenerbahce), Nordi Mukiele (Bayer Leverkusen), Carlos Soler (West Ham), Marco Asensio (Aston Villa) and Randal Kolo Muani (Juventus).
Other players who could be let go if the club receives the right offer for them include Gabriel Moscardo, Lucas Hernandez, Lucas Beraldo, Kang-in Lee and striker Goncalo Ramos.
PSG star hands transfer request
Beraldo has already handed in a transfer request as he looks to move somewhere else where he will be assured more game time.
The Brazilian defender started both the semi-final and final in the United States, but only because Enrique's first-choice William Pacho had been suspended.
The other option is long-serving captain Marquinhos, who can't be benched.
L'Equipe reports that Beraldo has one eye on convincing Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the Club World Cup next year and is certain that game time elsewhere could go a long way in helping him do that.

PSG have already lined up Bournemouth star Illia Zabarnyi as a potential replacement.
Will Chelsea sign Gianluigi Donnarumma?
At the same time, Chelsea were linked with Gianluigi Donnarumma before the Club World Cup final.
Reports in France indicated that the Blues were ready to move in on the Italian shot-stopper, who is out of contract next summer.
Chelsea have struggled with their goalkeeping department this season, with Robert Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen alternating between the sticks.
The former, however, put in the performance of his life against PSG that might have convinced the Chelsea bosses to trust him ahead of next season.
The Blues were previously interested in Mike Maignan before the Club World Cup, but a deal failed to materialise.
When will PSG play next?
The French giants will have a short period to rest before they resume for the 2025/2026 season.
They have no planned preseason fixtures at the moment, save for the UEFA Super Cup against Europa League winners Tottenham Hotspur on August 13 at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine.
Why Chelsea were given fake trophy
In a separate report, Chelsea were handed a replica trophy after beating PSG in the Club World Cup final.
Donald Trump made the admission in an interview after attending the final at the MetLife Stadium.
Trump handed the trophy to Reece James and stood beside him as he lifted it.
