The England international angered Man United fans in December 2024 by saying he wants a new challenge.
According to The Athletic, Rashford is keen to leave Manchester United, and the Red Devils are eager to remove his hefty wages from their books.
The report also states that the Spanish giants are in search of an experienced player for both the left wing and forward positions.
However, Rashford will have to wait and see if Barcelona can register him after completing the deal, as the club has faced difficulties registering players due to their ongoing financial struggles.

Can Rashford recapture form at Barcelona?
Rashford had the best season of his career in 2022/23 but has yet to replicate that form. He bagged 30 goals in all competitions and won the League Cup.
In the 2023/24 campaign, his numbers dropped significantly. He registered eight goals and six assists and then got 11 goals and nine assists last season.
Hansi Flick's Barcelona scored plenty of goals last season, and Rashford will have a chance to improve his numbers ahead of the 2026 World Cup. Therefore, Rashford will likely succeed if he plays regularly.
What did Rashford say about Ronaldo vs Messi?
Rashford has never hidden his admiration for Ronaldo. He shared the pitch with the Portugal veteran when he made his sensational return to Old Trafford in 2021.
In 2018, he called Lionel Messi, Ronaldo's biggest rival, the greatest ever.
"Some of the stuff that he [Messi] does is unbelievable," said Rashford per CNN via Sportbible. "I'm a big fan of Ronaldo as well, but I think Messi is the greatest ever."
Messi's 2022 World Cup triumph appeared to give him the edge, but Ronaldo continues to win trophies and break more records.
Will Rashford have his dream Barcelona debut?
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Marcus Rashford will not have his dream debut at Barcelona.
The reason is that Barcelona's home stadium, Camp Nou, is still not complete and its use has been postponed.
Rashford will play at the Olympic stadium in Barcelona, a venue the club has been playing in for the last two seasons.
