The Manchester United academy product was told to find a new home after he fell out with Ruben Amorim in December.

The 27-year-old winger will likely play at Barcelona next season. He spent the second half of the 2024/25 season at Aston Villa, but his form never picked up.

The England international angered Man United fans in December 2024 by saying he wants a new challenge.

According to The Athletic, Rashford is keen to leave Manchester United, and the Red Devils are eager to remove his hefty wages from their books.

The report also states that the Spanish giants are in search of an experienced player for both the left wing and forward positions.

However, Rashford will have to wait and see if Barcelona can register him after completing the deal, as the club has faced difficulties registering players due to their ongoing financial struggles.

Can Rashford recapture form at Barcelona?

Rashford had the best season of his career in 2022/23 but has yet to replicate that form. He bagged 30 goals in all competitions and won the League Cup.

In the 2023/24 campaign, his numbers dropped significantly. He registered eight goals and six assists and then got 11 goals and nine assists last season.

What did Rashford say about Ronaldo vs Messi?

Rashford has never hidden his admiration for Ronaldo. He shared the pitch with the Portugal veteran when he made his sensational return to Old Trafford in 2021.

In 2018, he called Lionel Messi, Ronaldo's biggest rival, the greatest ever.

"Some of the stuff that he [Messi] does is unbelievable," said Rashford per CNN via Sportbible. "I'm a big fan of Ronaldo as well, but I think Messi is the greatest ever."

Messi's 2022 World Cup triumph appeared to give him the edge, but Ronaldo continues to win trophies and break more records.

Will Rashford have his dream Barcelona debut?
