Barcelona signed Rashford on a season-long loan until June 2026 with an option to buy. The Man United academy product spent the second half of last season at Aston Villa and scored four times.
The England star fell out with Man United boss Ruben Amorim in December last year and last played for his boyhood club on December 12 in the Europa League.
Why did Marcus Rashford leave Man United?

He had the best season of his career in 2022/23 under Erik ten Hag. He scored 30 goals and won the League Cup that season, but things have deteriorated since.
In his second season under Ten Hag, his form regressed, but he played a role in their FA Cup victory. Last season, he struggled, was dropped by Amorim, and was never recalled.
Confidence, consistency, and his attitude reportedly contributed to his Manchester United exit. Amorim also mentioned that he wasn't on the same page as Rashford.
"I couldn't get Marcus to see the way you're supposed to play football and to train the way I see it," Amorim said. "Sometimes you have one player that is really good with one coach, and the same player with another coach is different."
Who has warned Marcus Rashford?
Rivaldo has challenged Rashford, stating that a spot in the starting line-up won't come easily and that he will have to earn it.
The Brazilian said the Englishman cannot dislodge Ballon d'Or contender Raphinha from the line-up.
"Barcelona had a great season last year, so it’s normal for him to start off on the bench. I believe that little by little, he’ll find his rhythm...Over time, he’ll earn his spot," Rivaldo said via GOAL.
"I think that’s highly unlikely that Rashford will take Raphinha’s spot, especially after the season Raphinha had last year...there will be competition, but I don’t think Rashford is going to take Raphinha’s place."

Rashford will likely play on the left, a position he will have to fight for alongside Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.
Can Rashford revive his career in Barcelona?
Rashford needs to recapture his form and revive his career at Barcelona, especially with the World Cup coming up next year. He will need to be in top form throughout the season to earn a spot in Thomas Tuchel's team.
Barcelona won La Liga last season and came close to reaching the Champions League final.
They did so by playing high-octane football that allowed Yamal and Raphinha, their wide players, to shine. Therefore, Rashford is likely to improve.
Rashford's take on Ronaldo vs Messi
In another story, we reported on Rashford's bold take on the ongoing Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo GOAT debate.
Rashford played alongside Ronaldo in 39 matches but has since declared Barcelona legend Messi as the GOAT.
He faced off against the Inter Miami veteran a few times in the Champions League, and now, he has the opportunity to represent Barcelona.
