Ruben Amorim and Manchester United have arrived in the USA for their pre-season tour, where they will play in the Premier League Summer Series against West Ham, Bournemouth, and Everton.

They will conclude their pre-season against Fiorentina at Old Trafford on August 9, before kicking off their Premier League season against Arsenal on August 17.

Who have Man United signed so far?

Matheus Cunha arrived from Wolves in a £62.5 million (KSh 10.8 billion) deal and was named in the starting lineup of their first pre-season friendly against Leeds United on July 19.

The Brazilian bagged 15 Premier League goals last season and is expected to play a major role in Man United's misfiring attack.

"I really think the pressure on this club is not really pressure," said Cunha in a press conference in the USA. "It's a privilege because this is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I feel like it's a challenge that I want to do for my career. And for me, always United is one of the clubs that need to be there."

Bryan Mbeumo is the only other major signing for the Red Devils. The Cameroon international joined from Brentford after weeks of negotiations.

They are expected to add more players before the window closes. Marcus Rashford is the only major exit. The England star joined Barcelona on loan.

Will 'bomb squad' return to Man United?

The Red Devils exiled the so-called 'bomb squad' - Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, Jadon Sancho and Tyrrell Malacia - at the start of pre-season early this month.

He controversially claimed he will welcome them back if they didn't find buyers.

"If they don't reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that," Amorim said on the press conference. Some players have to find a new place so we have more space in the team and other players clearly show they want a new challenge and want new teams."
"I understand the clubs are waiting for the last minute but they can have a surprise. I'm ready to receive the players."

What did fans say about Amorim's comments?

@UnofficialPund1:

"So you would rather play your 63 year old gk coach over Rashford but you are willing to keep these 3. I’m starting to believe Amorim & Ineos are doing a social experiment on United fans. Trying to see how much pain they can take before the shameless bunch finally break 😭."

Man United fans blast Amorim

In a related story, we reported that Man United fans blasted Amorim for saying they will suffer next season.

Fans rejected his comments, highlighting that he's been saying that since last season, which was their worst in the Premier League era.
