Garnacho is expected to leave Manchester United this summer, preferably on a permanent transfer, after head coach Ruben Amorim ostracised him from his squad.

Alejandro Garnacho leaves Manchester United

The duo fell out shortly after Amorim arrived from Sporting Lisbon last year. Amorim left the Argentine and Marcus Rashford out of his squad for the Manchester derby.

Garnacho was later reinstated to the squad, but Rashford wasn't as lucky, leading to his loan move to Aston Villa and later Barcelona this summer.

Garnacho's supposed truce with Amorim didn't last long as the pair clashed again before and after the Europa League final.

The winger is said to have taken issue after he was omitted from the starting XI that faced Tottenham Hotspur.

He posted a cryptic message online before issuing snappy remarks after the game. Amorim is said to have told him, 'you better pray you can find a club to sign you'.

And true to his words, the Portuguese tactician omitted the 21-year-old from his preseason plans.

Alejandro Garnacho changes his name

As he continues to wait for a suitor, fans have noticed that he has changed his Instagram name. His official account previously had 'Alejandro', but now it is 'Alex'.

GMS reports that he was born 'Alejandro Garnacho Ferreyra', but his father's name is Alex.

Fans have reacted to his latest move with GK saying,

Which club will Garnacho join?

Garnacho is understood to be holding out for a move to a Premier League club. Chelsea were heavily interested in him back in January, but a move never materialised.

The Blues, according to Fabrizio Romano, are still monitoring the situation but are currently actively pursuing Xavi Simons.

"Alejandro Garnacho wants Premier League move… and Chelsea remain attentive to the situation. No club-to-club talks, but still one of the names on the shortlist. Priority remains to advance on Xavi Simons at this stage."

Bayer Leverkusen were previously said to be interested in him as their new boss, Erik ten Hag, looked to reunite with Garnacho.

Ten Hag inherited a Leverkusen side that finished second in the Bundesliga, but faces an uphill task to rebuild the squad after losing a number of players.

Florian Wirtz and Jeremie Frimpong joined Liverpool, while Jonathan Tah crossed over to Bayern Munich. Granit Xhaka is on his way to Sunderland as well.

Garnacho could easily fill the huge gap Wirtz has left.

Manchester United's preseason games

The Red Devils are already back in training as they look to avoid a repeat of the calamitous season they had last time out.

They started with a goalless draw against Leeds United in Sweden before flying to the United States for the Premier League Summer Series.

A Bruno Fernandes brace lifted them past West Ham United in their first game. New signing Bryan Mbeumo missed that game, with Amorim hinting that he was still rusty.

The Cameroonian international joined from Brentford and is expected to fill the gap left by Garnacho.

Ruben Amorim ready to accept players back

In a related report, Amorim stated that he was ready to welcome the sidelined players back if they failed to get clubs.

Of the five players training away from the squad, only Rashford has gotten a new club after moving to Spain.

The remaining include Garnacho and Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.
