Can Cole Palmer win Ballon d'Or?

Five English players have won the Ballon d'Or, with Michael Owen being the most recent to claim the prestigious award in 2002.

Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane have come close, but they played in the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi era. Roberto Di Matteo, the coach who led Chelsea to their first ever Champions League said Palmer can win it.

"Everybody has his own style, but Cole Palmer is very difficult to mark and to defend against, because he's such an intelligent player and he always knows where to find the space. But I had to compare him to a former Chelsea player, maybe Eden Hazard," the Italian said via GOAL.
