Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania have discovered their route to the CHAN 2024 final, with the quarter-final fixtures confirmed after the conclusion of the group stages.

The CHAN 2024 group stage concluded on Tuesday, August 19, with Senegal and Sudan securing the final spots in the quarter-finals.

Which teams have qualified for CHAN quarter-final?

Out of 19 teams, only eight remain in CHAN 2024. Co-hosts Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania have advanced to the quarter-finals, with just one loss between them.

The quarter-final fixtures are scheduled for Friday, August 22, and Saturday, August 23, and will take place across four different venues.

Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Morocco, Algeria, Sudan, Madagascar, and Senegal are the remaining teams in the tournament.

What are CHAN quarter-final fixtures?

Kenya will face Madagascar at Kasarani Stadium on Friday, August 22, at 5pm. Meanwhile, Tanzania will take on pre-tournament favourites Morocco at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium on the same day.

“I am very happy that the boys have delivered and picked three wins and one draw in the group stage. This has been as a result of hard work and we must remain focused ahead of the quarter final stage,” McCarthy said after Harambee Stars defeated Zambia.

Uganda, on the other hand, will face Senegal on Saturday at Nelson Mandela Stadium. Sudan will clash with Algeria at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar on Saturday.

What is CHAN 2024 path?

Kenya will face either Sudan or Algeria in the semi-finals if they overcome Madagascar.

Tanzania, having performed well in the group stage, will need to defeat Morocco in the quarter-finals. If they succeed, a semi-final clash against Uganda or Senegal awaits.

“To be honest I have not watched much of Tanzania’s games because when we are here, my focus was on our group but for sure, we expect a difficult match because they are also a team which is playing in their home ground,” Morocco coach Tarek Sektioui said of Tanzania.

Hemed 'Morocco' Suleiman are playing in their third CHAN tournament after participating in the 2009 and 2020 editions.

Therefore, Kenya could face Taifa Stars in the final, providing an opportunity to settle their growing rivalry.

The semi-finals will take place on August 26, with the winner being crowned on August 30 at Kasarani Stadium.
