How Morocco qualified for CHAN quarter-finals
The Atlas Lions had been in Nairobi for almost one month, where they finished second behind Kenya in Group A.

The two-time winners opened their campaign with a 2-0 win over Angola before they were stunned by Harambee Stars 1-0.
Morocco failed to breach Kenya's defence despite playing with a man advantage in the second half after Chrispine Erambo was sent off.
They bounced back to beat Zambia and DR Congo with identical 3-1 scorelines to sail through to the quarters.
Their reward for finishing second is a trip down to Dar es Salaam to face a high-flying Tanzania that has yet to taste defeat in the competition.
After playing in a hostile Kasarani Stadium, the North African giants will once again be forced to play in similar conditions at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
They'll, however, be backed by Kenyans who have shown on social media that there is no love lost between them and Tanzania.
Kenyans have publicly asked Morocco to teach their East African rivals a lesson and knock them out of the competition.
A TikTok user was at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Nairobi, where Morocco had been staying. As the players left, he reiterated that he wished them all the best against Tanzania.
The message was consistent with what the majority of Kenyans have been saying online.
Bushman said,
"So Kenyans have bought tickets for TZ VS Morocco game to make sure Tanzania doesn't enjoy the home advantage. We are bullies for real."
Benson Munga said,
"Tanzania will be shown bad things by Morocco, and the whole world will be happy."
Justina Wamae said,
"Majirani kapatana na Disciplinary Committee. Siwataki kila la heri."
Boy Child said,
"Si walisema Kenya tuko biashara. Sasa Wacha tuone kati ya pesaa na uzalendo gani ikona nguvuuu."
Swaleh Salim Ali said,
"Tanzania mwaskia coach asema kitawakuta puup! Jinamizi linakuja kwa Mkapa "Morocco" atawalamba uso 3 bila. So komenti kuvunja nazii getini na uchawi wenu hamutoshi."
While Amok said,
"You guys are really destroying a good game. Tanzania is just a small country not Worth picking fights with, we're African Giants, let's focus on destroying wenye wanadhani wako ahead of us."
Morocco coach speaks ahead of Tanzania clash
Speaking after beating DR Congo on Sunday to qualify for the quarter-finals, Morocco's head coach Tarik Sektioui revealed that he was impressed with the improvements his team had made.
"I am happy with my team because we are improving game by game. When we started, most of the players were not fully match fit because many were on holiday after the season and we have been working on improving every game. Now we are way better,” he said as quoted by CAF Online.

The former FC Porto winger said he hadn't watched Tanzania games yet but warned his side to expect a tough outing in Dar es Salaam.
“To be honest, I have not watched much of Tanzania’s games because when we are here, my focus was on our group, but for sure, we expect a difficult match because they are also a team which is playing in their home ground."
Will Kenya and Tanzania meet at CHAN 2024?
Possibly. After winning their groups, Kenya and Tanzania have been drawn into different brackets and can only meet if they both reach the final.
Kenya play Madagascar in the quarter-finals, and should they win, they will face one of Sudan or Algeria next.
If Tanzania gets past Morocco, they will play either Uganda or Senegal in the semi-final.
