Which teams have been eliminated from CHAN 2024?
The flipside of it was that 11 teams failed to make it to the quarter-final stage. The competition started with 19 teams, with three groups having five teams each, while Group D had four teams.
Only the top two teams from each group advanced to the next stage, while the rest went home.
In Group A, Kenya's group, two-time champions DR Congo, Angola, and Zambia failed to make the cut.
In Group B, Mauritania missed out on goal difference with Burkina Faso and the Central African Republic exiting as well.
In Group C, South Africa, Guinea and Niger were eliminated while Nigeria and Congo were the casualties in Group D.
How much did Zambia earn from CHAN 2024?
Zambia's case was more peculiar as they were the only team that failed to win a single game at CHAN 2024.
Avram Grant's side were beaten 2-0 by DR Congo, 2-1 by Angola, 3-1 by Morocco before the final 1-0 loss to Kenya.
Despite their catastrophic campaign, the Chipopolo are still set to make a lot of money.
CAF had announced an increase in prize money where the last-place finisher in the group would earn $200,000 (KSh 25.8 million).
Zambia, therefore, left Kenya KSh 25.8 million richer despite losing all their games.

Zambia coach speaks after poor CHAN campaign
Grant was still upbeat despite the early elimination, saying that they were using CHAN to build the main national team ahead of AFCON 2025.
"We came here to see if there are some players that can help the national team. I'm happy that I'm here as the first team coach to see the next generation, how they behave, how they play, winning mentality, mentality in general, quality of football. I also told them that the target is to move to the national team, but they need to show quality and other things"
Where and when in CHAN 2024 final?
The final will be held at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi on August 30.
Tanzania and Uganda will each host one semifinal match, while the latter will also host the third-place play-off match.
