Taifa Stars have been one of the standout teams in CHAN 2024, but now face Morocco, a team that has won the tournament twice, in the quarter-final.
Suleiman's side began the campaign with three consecutive wins before settling for a draw in their final game against the Central African Republic in Group B.
In their opening match, they secured a 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso, with Abdul Suleiman and Mohamed Husseini scoring in either half.
Mauritania provided a tough challenge in the second game, but Suleiman's side clinched a dramatic late win thanks to a stunning late goal from Shomary Kapombe.
Clement Mzize's first-half brace earned them a convincing win over Madagascar in their third match at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
“Our players are physically and mentally prepared to face any team. The match against Morocco will be difficult. We respect them, but we are not afraid. We want to surprise them," Suleiman said.

The Atlas Lions are competing in their fifth CHAN tournament, having previously participated in the 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020 editions.
They had a less-than-ideal group stage campaign. They registered three wins and suffered one defeat to co-hosts Kenya.
Tarik Sektioui's side defeated Angola 2-0 in their first match, before losing to Kenya, who played the second half with 10 men.
They wrapped up their group stage with 3-2 victories over Zambia and DR Congo, heading into the quarter-finals in red-hot form.
“We know this match is extremely important. It qualifies us for the semi-finals. We will overcome this stage, God willing, and live up to everyone’s expectations in Morocco," Sektioui said.
Tanzania vs Morocco past meetings
The two sides have faced each other several times, with their most recent encounter occurring in March during the 2026 FIFA qualifiers.
Morocco triumphed 2-0 in the contest and had previously defeated the East Africans 3-0 at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in January 2024.
Suleiman was in the dugout as Adel Amrouche's assistant when Tanzania lost to the Moroccans at AFCON. Suleiman took charge after the Algerian was suspended.
