They kicked off their campaign against DR Congo and won 1-0, thanks to Austin Odhiambo's brilliant goal.
In their second game on August 7, they held Angola to a 1-1 draw, despite playing most of the match with 10 men after Marvin Nabwire was sent off early.
They came close to conceding a late goal, but VAR intervened to keep them in the game. Goalkeeper Byrne Omondi, who was partly to blame for the red card, played a key role in the contest.
On August 10, Harambee Stars delivered what was arguably their best performance, defeating tournament favourites Morocco. Despite Chrispine Erambo's sending off after Kenya took the lead, they held firm and secured the win in the second half.
They ended their group campaign with a win over Zambia before losing to Madagascar on penalties in the quarter-final.
How much has Harambee Stars earned from CHAN?
President William Ruto promised Harambee Stars players KSh 1 million for every win and KSh 500,000 for every draw in the group stage before the tournament started.
He also promised KSh 60 million for reaching the quarter-finals, KSh 70 million for making it to the semi-finals, and KSh 600 million for winning the tournament.
After their win over Morocco, Ruto promised KSh 2.5 million for every player if they defeated Zambia and then promised players KSh 1 million and a two-bedroom apartment if they won their quarter-final tie.
Therefore, players pocketed KSh 5 million from the government.
CAF will reward the CHAN 2024 quarter-finalists with KSh450,000 (approximately KSh 58 million).
The champions will earn $3.5 million (KSh 452 million), while the runners-up will receive $1.2 million (KSh 194 million).
The third and fourth-place teams will get $700,000 (KSh 9.5 million) and $600,000 (KSh 7.7 million), respectively.
