The Kenyan doctors union, KMPDU, has linked the dangerous work environment at Gatundu Level 5 Hospital with the death of young intern doctor Desree Moraa.

A close friend of deceased medical intern, Dr Desree Moraa has explained the challenges she faced at work including unpaid salaries, leading to her untimely death.

A patient died after jumping from the second floor of a hospital. The 35-year-old was being treated at the Wamalwa Kijana Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Due to the shortage of physicians, patients fail to receive the required medical attention. Governor Irungu Kang'ata said telemedicine might mitigate the issue.
