British pop sensation and powerhouse vocalist Jessie J has revealed that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer in a heartfelt Instagram post.

She explained that while the diagnosis is difficult, she is holding on to hope because the cancer was detected early, and she is preparing for surgery after performing at a concert in London on 15 June 2025.

“Cancer s*cks in any form, but I am holding on to the word ‘early. It is a very dramatic way to get a breast job.This last 2 months have been so amazing, and having this go on along side it on the sideline’s has given me the most incredible perspective. But. Your girl needs a hug," she said.

The 37-year-old songstress will be taking some time away after the concert to focus on her surgery and recovery, showing optimism about her return.

She assured fans she would come back stronger both physically and artistically, promising new music and a refreshed spirit.

“I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive t!ts and more music," she said.

Jessie J opened up about her decision to share the news publicly, explaining how sharing her journey has always been a source of strength and support.

How Jessie J is dealing with cancer diagnosis

She admitted that she has not fully processed the diagnosis because she has been working hard, but wanted to be honest with her followers.

“I just wanted to be open and share it. One, because, selfishly, I do not talk about it enough. I am not processing it because I am working so hard," she added.

She also acknowledged the comfort she has received from others when sharing her experiences, welcoming the stories and support from fans worldwide.

“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people giving me their love and support, and also their own stories. I am an open book. It breaks my heart that so many people are going through so much similar and worse – that is the bit that kills me,” she said.

She also thanked her loyal fans for their unwavering love through every stage of her life, hoping this moment would be no different.

Singer Marya hospitalised after stroke

In a different report, veteran Kenyan singer Marya was recently rushed to the hospital after suffering a stroke.

Her friends Avril Nyambura and Kendi visited her in the hospital and later asked for financial services to support her.
