Although the DRI searched her luggage and clothing, nothing suspicious was initially found.
However, during interrogation, Florence admitted to having swallowed the pellets, which prompted her immediate admission to JJ Hospital after permission was granted by Esplanade Court.
Doctors successfully removed the pellets from her stomach, and subsequent tests confirmed that the white powder contained within was 665.5 grams of hard drugs.
According to The Indian Express, authorities have launched investigations to identify the intended recipient of the drugs in Mumbai.
Officials suspect that this could be part of a larger drug-smuggling syndicate, possibly operating out of Kenya.
