"Stop the plane. Find the bomb on the plane. Death to America. Death to Trump," the man shouted.

Nayak then proceeded to make religious chants in Arabic, sparking even more panic among the passengers aboard the plane.

"Allahu Akbar (God is great)," he shouted several times.

Before he could continue, one passenger approached and pinned him to the ground. Another passenger joined in and asked Nayak if he had a bomb on him.

The flight crew was then heard announcing that the plane would be making an emergency landing due to the incident.

According to People.com, the authorities boarded the plane as soon as it landed and took the man into custody.

They stated they are aware of the viral video of the man claiming to have a bomb, and the counter terrorism officers are assessing it.

Nayak had personal documents that showed he was an Indian national with refugee status.

The suspect was later arraigned at the Paisley Sheriff Court a day after the incident, but did not enter any plea.

Nayak has been charged with putting the lives of those on the aircraft in danger and with assault under the UK air law.

Details about the motive behind Nayak's action have yet to be made public. Despite the counter-terror officers reviewing the case, he won't be facing any terrorism charges, as no explosives were found on the plane

He remains in custody as investigations into the matter continue.
