Was Cardi B's microphone auctioned off?

The microphone in question, which was later auctioned for a staggering KSh 12.8 million, became a focal point in the lawsuit.

According to Page Six, the anonymous plaintiff claims that the sale of the mic worsened her emotional distress, as the microphone's auction price was highly publicised.

Although Cardi B was not charged at the time of the incident, the woman is now seeking justice through the legal system.

The case has drawn massive reactions online.

"That lady is going to lose that case against Cardi B. How are you suing someone after you threw something at them? Cardi was only defending herself," Read Media posted on X.

Watch the clip:

@betterin_person:

"People saying Cardi was assaulted first when she is recorded on video asking for people to throw water on her."

@SuperMega_Sigma:

"I think that the victim didn't do it with malicious intent. Maybe it was an accident, maybe it was dumb. But since when did that justify a mic to the face? Cardi clearly, mistook chaos for malice, and now we're watching her turn a moment of poor judgment into a lawsuit."

@theviral778:

"That’s intense! Cardi B getting sued for that 2023 mic-throwing incident in Vegas sounds like a messy situation. Ice being thrown at her was out of line, but the lawsuit’s a big twist. Curious how this will play out."

@bean050:

"What would you do if someone threw Ice at you? Especially when you've just had your hair done and your make-up. Are we saying we are no longer allowed to defend ourselves? This person probably planned it to make a quick buck."
