Michelle Obama Opens Up About the Daughter Barack Struggled to Raise

Former United States first lady Michelle Obama has opened up about the differences in raising her two daughters and revealed who Barack struggled with.

The power couple shares two daughters, Malia, 27, and Sasha, 24, and has always lived a private life.

In her podcast, IMO, Michelle revealed that Barack found it easier to bond with Malia as she was always interested in her dad's policies and political world.

"When Malia was a teenager, it wasn’t that she was going out any less or doing anything differently. She would tell me, ‘I’m going out this weekend, but I’m going to go in and give dad like 15 minutes," she said.

Michelle added that each time Barack talked to Malia, he would come to her and be excited about their great conversations.

Which daughter did Barack Obama struggle to raise?

She also added that Malia was the one to update them on where she was going and with whom.

However, when it comes to Sasha, Barack found her 'difficult' because she did not know how to connect with her.

"Sasha is like a cat. She’s like, ‘Don’t touch me, don’t pet me. I’m not pleasing you. You come to me' and Barack is like, she is difficult and I am like 'No, the first one is a pleaser, temperamentally they are like that'," she added.

The best-selling author also advised parents to adjust when it comes to raising kids with different personalities.

According to her, most parents tend to raise all their kids as though they are all the same, forgetting that they do not have the same character.

"Some people parent to one child, or one personality child, but then you have three," she further said.

What did Michelle say about divorcing Barack?

There were speculations that Michelle may have left Barack after she skipped major public events that the former president attended solo.

Many claimed that Michelle had moved out of their multi-million-dollar house after photos of her in Hawaii emerged.

However, she dismissed divorce rumours and clarified that she was undergoing therapy to navigate a new phase of life.

She explained that her choices now focus on personal well-being since she was out of public office and her children were grown and living independently.

Elsewhere, Barack and Michelle were recently spotted on a date in New York City, six months after they were last spotted in public together.

The couple was seen leaving the Lowell Hotel restaurant with their security detail, leaving netizens excited.

Michelle stood out in a chic black midi dress with ruffles, sheer panels, slingback heels, and a sleek purse.
