TikTokers are heartbroken by the death of TikTok influencer Malik Taylor just seven weeks after his birthday. The TikToker was killed in a horrific car accident after turning 28 on July 2.

According to TMZ, Taylor died after his car, a Nissan Rogue SUV, lost control and veered off the road, and fell 20 feet to the surface below in North Carolina, US.

It was reported that the TikToker died just 18 hours after moving from Memphis, Tennessee, to Charlotte, North Carolina.

How did TikTok influencer Malik Taylor die?

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found the influencer's car had plummeted. When paramedics arrived at the scene, Taylor was confirmed dead, and it was determined that he died of blunt force trauma.

The influencer, who had 265k followers on TikTok, was known for his comedic "POV" skits and pop culture explainers.

Taylor's Austin Peay State University business fraternity, Alpha Kappa Psi, announced his death via social media.

In a heartfelt post shared on Facebook, they described Taylor as "light to everyone".

"It is with heavy hearts that we share our beloved Brother, Malik Taylor, has gone to "Audit Eternal". To know him was to know he was a light to everyone—always bringing laughter, joy, and a warm smile that brightened every room he entered.

Brother Taylor embodied the values of brotherhood, unity, and compassion. His ability to uplift others, share kindness, and spread joy will forever remain in our memories.

The TikToker's family also shared a statement following his death, expressing their profound sadness.

"It is with love and gratitude that we, the family of Malik Taylor, acknowledge the incredible support and kindness shown following his untimely passing due to a tragic vehicle accident. To us, Malik was so much more than a content creator — he was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and friend. His creativity, humour, and spirit touched countless lives, and his legacy of inspiring, entertaining, and uplifting others will continue to live on," read part of the statement.

The grieving family asked the public for privacy as they process the loss.
