She disclosed that they met during the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama.

What did Anita Soina tell Ruto?

Soina sent a hard-hitting message about what she termed the lack of development in the Rift Valley region.

"If he does not save home, we will face even more insults. Road networks remain poor in most Rift Valley regions. Bomet East should be part of Uganda. The area faces more problems than some marginalized regions in Kenya."

Soina noted that asking the president for development is not hate.

"Otherwise, we will keep voting as the stronghold while watching other regions develop, as we are laughed at."

For instance, Soina claimed that the Mount Kenya region has no issues with rural electrification.

"Every village has electricity, thanks to their men."

She argued that charity begins at home and urged Ruto to embark on meaningful development tours. She concluded with a disclaimer, writing:

"Before you insult me, I’m Maasai, but home is home, and my second home is Koibeyon."

In other news, a meeting between Ruto and former president Uhuru Kenyatta at State House Nairobi stirred public interest and online debate.

The encounter, held on Friday, August 1, was marked by respectful gestures and a visibly warm reception.

Uhuru arrived in a stylish casual ensemble, brown khaki trousers and a designer shirt, reflecting his post-office fashion sense.

Ruto, in contrast, donned a formal blue suit paired with a red tie and white shirt.

A firm handshake between the two leaders preceded their walk to a newly built dais, where they paused for official photographs.

The pair then joined other dignitaries in a meeting focused on peace efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a process in which Uhuru plays a key role as a facilitator.
