The two politicians met at State House, Nairobi, on Friday, 1st August, with Ruto’s photographer sharing a video of the moment they greeted each other.

Uhuru was dressed in a smart casual outfit consisting of a designer shirt, a style he has embraced since leaving office.

What did Ruto tell Uhuru?

He complemented the blue shirt with brown khaki trousers. Ruto, on the other hand, opted for a blue dapper suit, a red tie, and a white shirt.

The President waited for Uhuru before they shared a firm handshake. Ruto and Uhuru respectfully greeted each other.

“Yes, Mr President...”
“Hello rais, karibu,” Ruto responded.

Uhuru then asked how Ruto was faring and thanked him for the welcome.

The two then walked up the stairs to a newly constructed dais where they posed for images.

They then proceeded into the meeting hall for discussions alongside other leaders on the Democratic Republic of Congo's peace process, where Uhuru serves as the facilitator.

The meeting evoked mixed reactions from social media users, with some joking about how firm the handshake was.

In a viral TikTok video, George was seen walking beside an unidentified woman, and the two appeared engaged in conversation.

Dressed in beige trousers and a light blue shirt, George displayed gentlemanly behavior by opening the car door for the woman, who wore white pants and a black hoodie.
