Tahidi High's Miss Morgan Explains Rejecting 3 Marriage Proposals

Former Tahidi High actress Miss Morgan, whose real name is Angela Waruinge, has spoken out about her time on TV and her personal life.

Angela sat down with celebrated radio presenter Alex Mwakideu for a candid interview.

She opened up about the challenges she faced during and after her time on the now-defunct TV show, where her role as a tough school principal brought her fame but also intense pressure.

Why did Miss Morgan reject marriage proposals?

She revealed that societal expectations and the need to maintain a glamorous public image led her to live beyond her means.

Despite the show’s huge earnings, she felt underpaid and struggled with financial strain.

The COVID-19 pandemic worsened her situation, leaving her jobless and battling depression.

She turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, a habit she now regrets, admitting it pushed her into a dark and difficult chapter.

Angela also delved into her love life, admitting to turning down several marriage proposals from different men, an aspect that surprised Mwakideu.

"So, this person came, went down on their knees and asked you to marry them, and you said no?" he asked.
"Two or three," she responded.

Mwakideu was curious to know why she rejected the marriage proposals.

Angela responded by explaining that the suitors had warped images of who she was, influenced by the show.

“Before you judge me... Are you marrying Angel Waruinge or are you marrying Miss Morgan? That’s a mistake.”

She further delved into the subject matter by saying,

In other news, Angela’s ex-castmate Ted Kitana, popularly known as Kilunda, left the acting scene to live a quieter life in Kangundo with his mother.

He had studied law but chose not to practise, later travelling to Norway to reflect on his future.

Upon returning, he joined Tahidi High and rose to fame, though he found the pay low and the role less challenging.

One morning, he abruptly decided not to return to the set and quit. Attempts at other roles were hindered by typecasting.
