Fay Tall: Kalenjin Influencer Kicks Up Storm as Young Son Flies To New York Alone

A US-based Kalenjin urban musician and influencer has elicited mixed reactions on social media after her son joined her abroad.

Known as Fay Tall on Facebook, the medical practitioner also describes herself as an aspiring politician.

On Saturday, August 16, the towering artiste shared a photo and video with her son in New York, warmly welcoming him.

A video of the reunion showed Fay driving to the airport before rushing to hug her son the moment she spotted him.

“I needed a hug, so I flew my son in so this way I can get unlimited hugs,” she captioned the video.

The doting mother was all smiles as she clung to her son. Fay donned a blue maxi dress with shades.

Her young son was comfortably dressed in sweatpants, sandals, a heavy jacket, and a Maasai shuka. He had a bag carrying his luggage. The grateful mother captioned the photo:

"Welcome to the US, son. God is good."

Fay then shared a photo of her son calmly striking a pose at the airport, saying that he had flown alone.

“He is a brave one! Travelled all by himself from Nairobi to New York! I am so thankful, my heart is full.”

Kenyans on social media were impressed by the boy, with some narrating their experiences of getting lost while travelling shorter distances. However, others questioned the move:

In other news, Kalenjin comedian Eliud Lagat, popularly known as Tapnyolei Rosaline, appealed to Kenyans for financial assistance to undergo a second surgery.

Lagat, who rose to fame through cross-dressing comedy skits and stage performances, revealed that he had already undergone an eye operation at Tenwek Hospital and needed further treatment.

A poster shared on his Facebook page indicated that a fundraiser was scheduled in Nandi county to help raise funds for the procedure and related medical expenses.

Despite his health struggles, Lagat appeared optimistic, sharing photos with fellow patients. He disclosed that at least KSh 1.6 million was required and urged fans, friends, and colleagues to support his recovery journey.
