The veteran politician stepped out alongside President William Ruto on Monday, August 18, as they chaired a joint ODM–Kenya Kwanza Parliamentary Group meeting in Karen, Nairobi. The session brought together lawmakers from both camps to strengthen their political cooperation ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Discussions centred on a 10-point agenda covering economic recovery, job creation, lowering the cost of living, electoral reforms, devolution, anti-corruption measures, and the empowerment of youth and women.
The leaders also revisited the National Dialogue Committee report, which outlined bipartisan reforms, including electoral justice and political party funding.

Raila looked dapper as he donned a blue three-piece suit with a white shirt and red tie. He completed the look with black shoes.
However, keen Kenyans noticed something different about Raila. While he usually has relatively long hair, he rarely gets a trim on the edges. This time around, his hairline distinctly stood out as it had a sharp cut on the edges, giving him a younger look.

In other news, Raila’s wife, Ida Odinga, demonstrated her unwavering care for her daughter during a recent visit to Homa Bay county.
A video shared online captured her arrival at Tom Mboya University in a blue helicopter, accompanied by security.
Governor Gladys Wanga approached the chopper to exchange pleasantries with her before Ida remained seated inside.
Moments later, her daughter Winnie joined her in the aircraft, taking a seat beside her. Ida wore an African-themed dress while Winnie appeared in a white top.
Although the clip ended before takeoff, many concluded that Ida had specifically flown in to pick her daughter.
The scene drew admiration, with some netizens reflecting on the privileges of a wealthy lifestyle.
