Ogeto died in the US earlier this year, and the repatriation of his body sparked controversy.
He had endured a prolonged battle with cancer before his death, and his body was returned home under secretive circumstances, leaving his wife and supporters shocked.
Friends had raised funds to facilitate his repatriation and burial, only to discover that his remains had been flown into the country earlier than announced, without their knowledge.
Were Denis Oseko and Boaz Ogeto friends?
Reports suggested that family disputes fuelled the decision, with his wife allegedly sidelined from crucial updates and later maligned through damaging claims online.
The controversy stirred outrage among contributors and sparked broader discussions on widows’ rights and posthumous family conflicts.
Oseko, on the other hand, passed away while receiving treatment, leaving fans heartbroken. Days before his death, he had hinted at his struggles through a final online post and a TikTok live session.
News of his sudden demise sparked an outpouring of grief, with many recalling his wisdom and courage despite personal battles.
As Kenyans mourn Oseko, a post of him alongside Ogeto has resurfaced.
The photo, initially captured in June 2021, showed Oseko wearing a suit, while Ogeto donned jeans, sneakers and a leather jacket.
"Official vs casual. We have height," Ogeto captioned the photo, tagging Oseko.
In June this year, Oseko reshared the memory without a caption.
Kenyans were heartbroken by the photo, given the close proximity of their deaths.
