The school community and family of Form Four student Teddy Oduor Owino have been thrown into distress after the young man went missing on Tuesday, July 8, at around 10 am.

Why Teddy Oduor was struggling
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Julliet Afandi, a teacher at the school, disclosed that Teddy had recently suffered the tragic loss of his mother in a road accident last term.

Details indicate that the teen's mother was knocked down while hawking in Nairobi, a traumatic event that left him deeply affected.
“He hasn’t been himself since the incident. We’ve been providing him with guidance and support, but the loss seemed to take a heavy toll on him,” she said.
Efforts to locate his whereabouts have been unsuccessful so far. According to the school, Teddy never arrived home, nor has he been seen at any of his relatives' residences.

Concerned teachers and family members have already filed a missing person report at the Londiani Police Station, OB number 29/10/07/2025.
The school and family are now appealing to the public to help locate the 19-year-old.
“Any reports of his whereabouts are highly appreciated. He is not in the custody of either his parents or close relatives,” Afandi emphasised.
As the search continues, the school and members of the community are urging people to share Teddy’s story widely.

An almost similar incident occurred in Nyeri when Kelvin Kamau Wandina disappeared shortly after leaving church on Sunday, June 22.
The Form Four student at Kianyaga Boys High School was home for the midterm break when he went missing under unknown circumstances.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a family member identified as Dennis Wambugu recounted the events leading up to Kamau's disappearance.
