The game will be a rematch of the 2024 Champions League final, where Madrid won a record-extending 15th title after beating the German side 2-0 at Wembley Stadium.
How Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund qualified
Real Madrid, under new manager Xabi Alonso, saw off a stubborn Juventus side thanks to a solo goal from rising striker Gonzalo Garcia at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Garcia, who now has three goals in the tournament, has been an able deputy in the absence of Kylian Mbappe, who made his first appearance off the bench.
The French striker was taken ill with acute gastroenteritis before the tournament began.
Hours later, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, a brace from Serhou Guirassy helped Dortmund beat Mexican side Monterrey. Both goals were assisted by Karim Adeyemi.
German Berterame pulled one back in the second half, but Nico Kovac's side held on to sail through to the quarters.
Why Jude Bellingham won't face his brother
The Real Madrid matchup against Dortmund could have had a different touch to it had both Bellingham brothers been available to play.
However, the younger brother, Jobe Bellingham, will be suspended for the quarter-final game this weekend.

How yellow card suspensions work at Club World Cup
A player will receive an automatic one-match suspension if he gets a yellow card in two different games, as captured on FIFA's website.
The cards are, however, wiped out after the quarter-finals to ensure that a player doesn't miss a potential final because of yellow card accumulation.
The only way a player can miss a final is if they get a red card in the semi-final.
If a player has a yellow card before the Last 8, and gets another one during the quarter-final, he will miss the semi-final.
So in Bellingham's case (Jobe), he picked up a second yellow card in the 28th minute during their Round of 16 clash against Monterrey.
His other booking came in their last group game against Ulsan HD.
When did Jobe Bellingham join Borussia Dortmund?
The 19-year-old signed for the Yellow Wall on June 10, following in his brother's footsteps.
The older Bellingham made 92 appearances for Dortmund, where he developed into one of the most sought-after midfielders in the world before Real Madrid came knocking.
"I'm delighted to be a Borussia Dortmund player now and to be fighting for titles with this great club. I want to play my part in celebrating success with these great fans here and will work on myself and with the team every day," he said, as captured on Bundesliga's website.
Jobe was fresh from an impressive campaign with Sunderland, where he starred in the team that earned promotion back to the Premier League.
The Black Cats beat Sheffield United in the play-off final, a game in which Jobe started and lasted the entire 90 minutes.
Jobe Bellingham's stats for Sunderland
He made 43 appearances in all competitions under Régis Le Bris. As captured on Transfermarkt, he scored five goals and provided four assists as they finished fourth to qualify for the playoffs.
They beat Frank Lampard's Coventry in the semis to set up the Sheffield United final.
Who are likely to win FIFA Club World Cup?
In a related report, a supercomputer has predicted the winner of the Club World Cup ahead of the quarter-final matches.
The biggest game of the round will be when European champions PSG take on Bayern Munich, followed by Real Madrid's game against Dortmund.
The other side has Chelsea facing Palmeiras while Fluminense play Al Hilal.
