In a job advertisement in the Daily Nation of Friday, August 1, 2025, the county urged all interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications on or before August 29, 2025.

The advert invited applicants to check and make applications via the county's website.
Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, career development expert Simon Ingasira urged applicants to internalise the job advertisement carefully to track the requirements before proceeding to apply.
"Internalise the advertisement carefully and immediately. Note the exact deadline (date and time), identify the minimum requirements (academic, professional, citizenship) and determine if you are eligible before you begin the application," said Ingasira.

The County Public Service urged all qualified and interested candidates, especially people living with disabilities, to apply.
The advert noted that only the shortlisted job applicants who meet the set requirements will be contacted for an interview.
Earlier, Kakamega County advertised 148 open job vacancies in different departments, including the Office of the Governor.
Governor Fernandes Barasa's administration invited applications from all qualified and interested candidates to reach the County Public Service Board on or before Friday, August 1, 2025.
Which other jobs are available in Kenya?
The Ministry of Information, Communications, and the Digital Economy advertised several vacancies at the Media Council of Kenya, sharing the academic requirements for candidates and the application process.
The ministry noted that candidates must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Elsewhere, the Public Service Commission announced the recruitment of interns in diverse fields on a one-year contract.
