Speaking exclusively to TUKO.co.ke, family therapist Diana Mwikali noted that public airing of private marital issues not only weakens trust within the family but can also fuel more resentment, making reconciliation difficult.

“When personal family matters are repeatedly posted on social media, it escalates tensions rather than resolving them. Children caught in the middle of this are especially vulnerable to emotional confusion and stress. For healing to take place, couples must prioritise privacy, open dialogue, and respectful boundaries,” Mwikali explained.
