Why Deya's death was extraordinary

At the funeral service held in Bondo on Saturday, August 2, Daniel eulogised his father, describing him as a courageous man.

He went on to say that his father’s death was not a result of a mere accident, but rather a divine act.

According to Juma, his father was plucked out of the world by God.

“I will never forget June 17, 2025. God had plans to take him from this world. He didn’t die; God plucked him out. If you compare the road accidents of God’s servants, you'll notice similarities. My father was the only one who died in that accident, which involved several vehicles. When the accident happened, heaven sent angels to shield everyone else," he stated.

Juma continued to explain his perspective on the event, linking it to a divine intervention.

"You know how demonic accidents occur. When Satan wants to harm me, he tries to kill those around me. But when it’s God’s will, heaven sends angels to protect others and only takes me. That’s why I know my father is in a better place now."

Juma's remarks, which were originally made in Dholuo, elicited mixed reactions on social media.
