Radio Maisha and KTN’s DJ Darius has visited a police station to see the wreckage of the vehicle in which his mother and father died.

His father, Josiah Biyongo, and mother, Hellen Biyongo, died in a head-on collision with a truck along the Nakuru–Bomet highway.
The couple was heading to celebrate the graduation of DJ Darius’s brother, journalist Edwin Nyarangi.

In a social media post, a downcast Darius was seen looking at the wreckage of the vehicles.

The truck was extensively damaged, with the front impact evident.
The sedan in which his parents were travelling sustained even more damage.
Darius stood next to the mangled wreck of the white sedan, and his brother was also seen in another image.
“For those sending me condolence messages, thank you.
This is the truck and the sedan in which my parents were. Their last journey was here.”
Darius showed the mangled car, and there were spots of blood and other items, such as an umbrella, in the car.
“This is what remains of the wreckage, the very accident that took both my parents' lives. It’s hard to believe that, in just one moment, everything changed.
They were full of life just days ago, preparing to come celebrate my brother’s graduation. And now, here I am, standing in front of twisted metal and broken glass, the painful evidence of that tragic day.”
In a separate post, Darius announced the burial plans and called for financial assistance, sharing the burial details.

The burial will take place on Friday, 22nd August 2025, in Kisii.”

How did DJ Darius have premonition of death?
In other news, the DJ’s colleague Titi Nagwalla recalled sensing something was wrong during their show, noting Darius appeared restless and distracted.
Darius had mentioned having a bad feeling about home, but could not get clear information.
Nagwalla said that the DJ’s mixes were not hitting home, signalling something was amiss.
He left to check on his parents, who were travelling to Nairobi for the graduation.
He broke the tragic news at midnight, revealing that his father and mother were dead.
