In the notice, IEBC said interested organisations should submit their applications online before Friday, September 5, 2025, at 5pm.

"All interested organisations must submit their applications through the IEBC Accreditation Management System (AMS) at: https://ams.iebc.or.ke. The deadline for submission is Friday, 5th September 2025 at 5:00 PM," the notice read.

Those eyeing the voter education provider's role are expected to collect a physical address authentication form from the county election manager and upload the scanned copy to the IEBC portal.

"Applicants must ensure access to a stable internet connection while submitting their details. Organisations seeking accreditation as Voter Education Providers are required to collect a Physical Address Authentication Form from the office of the respective County Election Manager, have it duly filled in and upload a scanned copy along with all other required documents to the AMS portal," the electoral commission said.

According to the notice, the commission will conduct training for all accredited organisations and issue accreditation certificates, identification badges, and other essential support materials before they begin their activities.

Who are eying to replace Charles Ong'ondo Were?

Among areas where by-elections will be held include Kasipul Constituency, whose Member of Parliament Charles Ong'onde Were was assassinated on April 30, 2025.

The late MP's son, Boyd Were Ong'ondo is among several politicians who are eyeing the seat.

Following the murder of Were, some ODM leaders signalled a strong preference for the vacant seat to remain within the late legislator’s family.

Leaders, including Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma and Kasipul ODM branch chair Evans Ndege, dismissed potential challengers outside the family, maintaining that the party is focused on preserving the late MP’s legacy through one of his sons or wives.

Other politicians in the race include, Philip Aroko, a humanitarian and philanthropist Newton Ogada, and Robert Ajwang’, popularly known as Money Bior.

Aroko recently expressed confidence of clinching the seat, saying his opponents are not strong enough.
