Who are potential Ruto's running mates in 2027?
Among the leaders the MP elected on the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket believes should deputise Ruto include the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Cooperatives Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya and the National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula.
"I urge my good friend President Ruto to settle on our luhya kingpins led by CS Wycliffe Oparanya, Moses Wetangula or Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi if not, he should not expect votes from western people," Aseka said.
He, however, asked Kenyans to continue supporting the Kenya Kwanza administration. According to the legislator, the current administration has delivered some of the promises it made during the 2022 General Election.
The ODM MP also asked Khwisero locals to ignore the ‘one term’ chants that have gained traction amongst a section of Kenyans, noting that the constituency has benefited from several projects being funded by the government.

He lamented that most roads in the county are in pathetic condition and that projects initiated by the previous administration, including the construction of Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) centres, have stalled.
"Governor Barasa must tell us what he has done in three years. Our roads and ECDE classes in public schools are in a bad state, so we want him to work or go home," Aseka said.
The MP also expressed the need for residents to help protect school-going children against individuals out to take advantage of them.
He warned that anyone found preying on the children in the constituency will face the full force of the law.
"Parents, let us protect our children because they are our last hope. We should not subject them to early alcoholism or sexual activities. For those wiTh the habit of preying on school children, they should law that the law will take its cause,” Aseka said.
