Woman killed, body dumped by roadside

Elsewhere, the body of a 39-year-old woman was found dumped by the roadside in Ngomongo village, Kanyekiine Ward.

Preliminary reports indicate that she was assaulted and brutally attacked before being murdered. According to residents, her body was discovered by a villager on the way to a nearby shop.

“She was popular in this area. She had rented a house here in Ngomongo, and we were with her just yesterday,” said a resident.

Shocked locals, led by Richard Kiarie, said the woman was found in her birthday suit with visible injuries across her body.

According to preliminary reports, the child was reportedly healthy earlier in the day and had even taken breakfast. While under the care of his grandmother, the toddler was found seated next to a jerrican, appearing to be asleep.

Believing he was simply napping, the elderly woman changed his clothes and laid him on the bed. However, moments later, she found the child unresponsive and raised the alarm, alerting neighbours.
