Millicent Maina revealed that she has been bedridden for four years and is battling multiple health complications.
"I have issues with my stomach, I also suffer from asthma, ulcers, breathing difficulties, heart problems, my spine is not in good condition, and my nerves are degenerating," she said.
Her plight was first brought to public attention by actress Dorea Chege and her partner, DJ Bull, who were in Githurai for a promotional event and were informed about Millicent’s situation.
Moved by her condition, the couple visited her, prayed for her, and made a public appeal to Kenyans and well-wishers to assist Millicent.
After sharing the story online, many netizens tagged comedian Erick Omondi, who later promised to visit her.

The comedian-turned-philanthropist visited Millicent's home and expressed deep sorrow after listening to her story.
In a video, Erick was captured sitting quietly beside her, watching as her young son assisted her.
"Millicent was just telling me about her story when she ran out of breath, and now her young son is trying to fix her oxygen machine," he narrated.
He described the woman's condition as the saddest thing he had witnessed all year.
"This is the saddest thing I’ve seen this year, and trust me, I’ve seen a lot. This mother is in unbearable pain, and she's being cared for by her 11-year-old son. This boy should not be changing his mother’s diapers, it’s wrong, mentally, culturally, and psychologically. The system has completely failed us. Today, I sleep as a very angry Kenyan, but I know tomorrow will be better," he said.
