Vanessa Kiuna Kovacs is celebrating her 35th birthday with mixed emotions.

The young lady shared a moving reel on her Instagram Stories as she marked her first birthday without her dad.

She penned moving words as she emotionally remembered her father, who died after a battle with cancer.

"Today, on my birthday, my first one without my dad, I keep coming back to this video. It summarises who he was, how he felt so perfectly. It is him talking to me. I hear him so clearly and with that I just want to thank God for another year of life," she wrote.

The reel had an album of photos of the late transformative preacher whose untimely death moved Kenyans.

Kathy Kiuna celebrates daughter Vanessa on her 35th birthday

Several photos captured him with his wife, Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna, who took over JCC leadership after his death.

Parts of his preaching were also captured in the touching reel that brought back the memories of the man of God.

Kathy also celebrated her daughter with a heartwarming post, recounting how she laboured for hours before giving birth to her.

"For me, it was not just Labour Day. It became an experience. I laboured for 11 hours to get this gift from God. It turned out that even though I was young, she would be used by God to turn my life around. She made me grow up and become a responsible young mother, and when she turned one, I surrendered my life to Jesus," part of her caption read.

Kathy Kiuna praises daughter Vanessa

Kathy noted that Vanessa was not only her daughter but also a friend because of the tight relationship bond they share.

The woman of God also praised her daughter's sharpness and brightness, which she is proud of.

"She’s a gem. A wise girl and extremely sharp. She’s a lawyer who advises governments as a consultant. I carried all those brains, is what I’m saying. No wonder the long labour on Labour Day.
"Happy birthday sweetheart. May you fulfill every purpose God has for you on earth. May you live intentionally. May God guide your every step. You are blessed and that’s settled forever. Generations will celebrate your life because of the impact you will make. I love you so so much," she added.
