Githurai Woman Bedridden for Years Reveals Son Stopped Her from Poisoning Self, Kids: “Lost Hope”

Nairobi, Kenya: Millicent Maina has shared the plans she had of ending the suffering she was going through with her children and how her dear son discouraged her.

Maina from Githurai is currently in the hospital after four years of being bedridden at home, and once Kenyans got wind of the matter, they took the woman suffering from eight conditions to the hospital, as only her children have been there for her.

Maina was speaking to Dorea Chege and her husband, Dibul, who had just visited her at the hospital where she was admitted.

"I used to think of poisoning my children by injecting them with insulin and doing the same to myself so that they don't suffer when I am gone," she said.
"My son told me this thing you want to do is not good, mum. One day things will be okay and the ones that disrespect us will greet us with respect," she added.
