Popo entertained Deputy President Kithure Kindiki with a lovely poem inspired by his famous “Fire si fire, noma si noma” statement.

Kindiki held a rally with other politicians at Tononoka, Mombasa county, on Sunday, August 10, addressing economic issues in the county.
After his poem, the little boy remained on stage, which was arrayed with a red carpet, ready to pounce on his moment to make a request after leaving many in awe.
Popo interrupts Kindiki during speech in Mombasa
As Kindiki addressed the locals, the boy interrupted him, prompting Kindiki to pause his speech.
"Mheshimiwa, I ask that you educate me so that I can also be like you," he said boldly.
Kindiki, put on the spot, agreed instantly, calling Popo "Mwanangu" as he promised to educate him.
He asked Popo which grade he was in and which school he attended, then called for Popo’s mother to come forward.
Which school does Popo attend?
Popo said he was in Grade Five at Eldorado School, and Kindiki proceeded with his public vow:
“A child does not belong to one parent only. We are all parents. Wherever this boy goes, anything to do with his education, as long as I am around, I will be the one catering for it. Popo’s mum, you will liaise with the governor and Mama Zam Zam to ensure the child gets quality education," as the crowd erupted in celebration.

Kindiki then empowered his vow by gifting Popo’s mother KSh 100,000, a gesture met with thunderous applause.
During his rally, Kindiki also highlighted economic projects the government of President William Ruto was implementing in Mombasa county, including the completion of the Liwatoni Fish Port, Kidongo Fish Market, and the acquisition of deep-sea fishing vessels to support fishing and blue economy businesses.

"Fresh produce markets at Sega, Old Town, Makupa, Changamwe, and Swaleh Khalid, together with the housing projects at Buxton and Nyali, and student hostels at Kenya Coast National Polytechnic, will greatly improve the economy of Mombasa county.
The ongoing dualling of the Mombasa–Nairobi Highway up to Mariakani, the Nyali–Mtwapa Road upgrade, and the operationalisation of the Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone (SEZ) will modernise the city and create more jobs. Mombasa county currently leads all 47 counties in registration into Taifa Care, with 800,000 out of 1,100,000 residents enrolled—an impressive 70%," he said.
