A cloud of grief has descended on the home of Willington Tsofa, a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) officer who perished alongside his entire family.

The lifeless bodies of the officer, his wife, newborn baby, brother, and sister-in-law arrived in Malindi, Kilifi county, ahead of their burial dates.
When were the bodies taken to Malindi?
According to reports, the bodies of the deceased family members were airlifted from Nakuru to Malindi by military helicopters on Tuesday, August 12.
Their bodies were received at Malindi International Airport before being moved to the Star Mortuary in Malindi Town.
Residents and relatives flocked to the mortuary, wailing and mourning as the vehicles carrying the five bodies arrived.
A small commotion occurred as many wanted to view the bodies, prompting an official at the funeral home to step in and address the crowd.
“Let us allow the parents, brothers, sisters, and immediate family members to enter and view the bodies out of respect. The rest can see the deceased tomorrow,” he said.
He added that those were the orders he had received from the family and did not want to go against their wishes.
The officer and his family will be buried at his home in Kisima Cha Gahaleni, Jimba, Kilifi North.
What happened to the KDF officer and his family?
Willington, who served in the Kenya Army, was involved in a tragic road accident that claimed his life and those of four family members.
The officer had just collected his wife, Patience Ndhundhi, from the hospital after she had given birth, and they were headed home in Nakuru when tragedy struck.

When did bodies of Sharjah fire victims arrive in Kenya
Previously, TUKO.co.ke reported that grieving families gathered at JKIA on May 5, as the bodies of three Kenyan men who died in a Sharjah fire arrived home.
The deceased, identified as Kennedy Kamau, Benjamin Kioko, and Ian Ndungu, were among five people killed in the tragic incident.
