During an interview on Spice FM, Amisi suggested that the ODM Party died long ago as a result of poor leadership and advice from greedy individuals surrounding the former prime minister.

Is the ODM party dead?

“As we speak, we are experiencing ‘Disco Matanga’ in ODM. Basically, it is dead we are now dancing, waiting for the burial day, that’s what is happening. Something must be done urgently,” Amisi said.

Amisi called on the young people in the party to respect Raila because of the space that he holds democratically, even if they don’t agree in terms of ideologies.

“But the sad thing is that I pity him. Some of us respect former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, as much as we don’t agree, you will never hear me abusing Raila because he has a space in history, but young people do not understand that. They will abuse him on social media. Some of us do not agree with him completely, but we have told him to his face what is wrong. You will never hear us abuse him," he stated.

Is Raila Odinga being misled?

The Saboti MP sympathised with the former prime minister, stating that some people surrounding Raila do not believe in his ideologies but are out to destroy him politically.

According to Amisi, some are forcing Raila to associate himself with President William Ruto's administration for selfish reasons.

"But what is very wrong about Raila is the clique of people around him; they do not believe in his ideologies, his principles, or what he has built over the years, and they want to destroy him completely," he claimed.

Will Caleb Amisi quit the ODM party in 2027?

In a related development, the Saboti lawmaker hinted at dumping the Orange Party in the upcoming 2027 poll.

The vocal lawmaker stated that he might reconsider seeking reelection on an ODM party ticket if Raila continues working with the Kenya Kwanza Alliance government.

Amisi, a frustrated ODM supporter, believes the party's position is ambiguous since aligning with Ruto's UDA government risks alienating members unless it recommits to its original principles.

He criticised the current internal confusion within the Orange Party, arguing that Raila's party has left both members and supporters uncertain about the party's direction.

He hit out at some ODM party leaders celebrating being part of the broad-based government, saying the majority of party supporters are suffering.
