Liverpool clinched the 2024/25 Premier League title in style during Arne Slot's first season, comfortably defeating both Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Reds secured the title with a 10-point lead, with the Gunners their closest challengers, but they faded as the season progressed.

Who are the contenders for 2025/26 Premier League?

Defending champions Liverpool remain the team to beat after an extraordinary 2024/25 campaign.

They secured the title in late April, cruising to victory with a dominant win over Tottenham Hotspur and finished the season with 84 points.

They've made some major signings so far, including Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike. If they add Alexander Isak to the mix, they could arguably become the best team in the world.

Arsenal will look to bounce back after three seasons of disappointment.

The Gunners have finished as runners-up in each of the last three seasons but have bolstered their squad for the new campaign. Viktor Gyokeres' arrival will make their attack scarier.

On the other hand, Manchester City have dominated the league since Pep Guardiola's appointment in 2016.

Since 2018, they've won six titles, with the only two they missed out on being claimed by Liverpool in 2020 and 2025.

Despite spending extravagantly in recent seasons, Chelsea have failed to mount a serious challenge. Last season, they attempted to chase down Liverpool but ultimately fell short.
